I feel for anyone who has to face disasters such as this. It doesn't matter which state they happen to live in. Losing your home, belongings that can't be replicated and the trauma that goes along with it, isn't something I'd wish on people regardless of their political affiliation.

I am appalled at the idea that "anyone" would be dancing in the streets.

Personally, I feel terrible about any tragedy that befalls an American, any American. Anyone with compassion would feel bad for people in any part of the world where tragedies like this take place.
It really doesn't make sense to me. Conservatives do not behave that way.

I don't know about dancing in the streets,but I think CA deserves a great big dose of "I told you so" from everybody. They have spent years not doing controlled burns to get rid of underbrush,not thinning forest land to more manageable condition,etc. Mostly because of bogus environmental concerns,well this is what they get.
That is however criticism,not "dancing in the streets" I wouldn't expect you to understand the difference because you're a moron.Thankfully very few people have lost their lives,unfortunately this debacle will cost billions,and then CA will go back to it's same idiotic ways until the next disaster.

Who is dancing in the streets?? I have only seen Dems blaming bush for the fires, again!! The reason the fires are burning is because we have National Guard troops in Iraq, and not here to fight the fires! How can these political IDIOTS put a political spin on everything that happens?
