No, I think society raises them to believe that they are. Just as some men think that they are better than women. Poor confused little darlings!

Yes, deep down inside men are looking to spread themselves around.

Women on the other hand are looking for an upgrade. They are wired to look for a better partner rather than more partners.

Absolutely. You should read "The Naked Ape" by Desmond Morris. In mankind's early stages, it ensured maximum genetic combination, which strengthened the species, and there WERE no social strictures on pair-bonding and reproductive responsibilities. It has been religion, primarily, that has brought those concepts to mankind, and even then, not to ALL societies. There are a lot of anthropological issues involved in this, so you do need to do a bit of reading.

Yes but it's not as simple as all that. A lot of it is just ego. We are wired to try to be the top guy in some way and if you attract a mate then you're Alpha by definition, and the more mates the more Alpha you must be by definition.

Having multiple partners is a matter of respect. Respect is thought by parents, as we are growing up. So I really believe that it depends on how the man was raised.

Absolutely! Heck, I'm a woman and I'd like multiple partners! But that probably wouldn't be the best thing for my family and social standing.

Nope. I think a looooong history of male dominated society is to blame. Women being dependant on men allowed them to get away with quite a bit until it became their "nature". To this day people act as if men are exempt from being civilized with phrases like "its a guy thing" or "boys will be boys". Your expectations will determine what he will and won't try to get away with using that excuse.

I think all men if they had a chance and it was in the norm would go and have affairs. I think my husband is faithful to me because he loves me and is afraid he will lose me if he did. If I gave him the ok and told him I would still be there for him you betcha he would go out and find someone. I think women fantasize about that as well. We would not be going for a man just for sex but maybe some romance.

No. Some men do feel the need to "spread their seed," however, that can be just as prevalent in women too. Any man can be monogamous if he chooses, some just don't want to be. It is then YOUR choice if you decide to be with someone who refuses to respect you enough to be with you and only you.
