I would say that he was, in a sense. If you look at the government France, you can see the logical conclusion of what he advocated. Unfortunately, what he advocated was therefore not successful.

Yes he was. But the criticism levelled againat the social contract are an out come of the theory, and the theory as such can not be blamed, since ti is a theory.
