I don't think it'll go more than six games. I just don't believe the Rockies can match up with the Sox in the pitching department. Guys like Ramirez and Lowell will make a guy like Francis wish he had never heard of the Green Monster...! And on the other hand, I look for people like Beckett and Matsusaki to possibly be overpowering, especially Beckett. Oh, I know the Rockies took it to 'em during the regular season, but that doesn't mean a thing now. That is my take on the series. What do you think?

I think it will be the Red Sox in 6.

The Sox win the 1st two at home. The Rockies win 2 of 3 in Denver and the Red Sox win game 6 when the series returns to Boston.

According to ESPN's simulations, the Red Sox should win fairly easily (they won 70% of the time) likely within 5-6 games. It really comes down to starting pitching which the Red Sox have a decided edge.

Some other interesting predictions:

1. Colorado starters Josh Fogg and Ulbado Jiminez will get absolutely lit up (not a surprise).

2. Mike Lowell will have a great WS for the Red Sox; Matt Holliday and Willy Taveras (!!) will have a good WS for the Rockies.

3. Brad Hawpe and Troy Tulowitski will struggle for the Rockies

Ok, but here is my question to the Red Sox Nation: How quickly will the Rockies dispatch the Red Sox? Ha, try answering that!

If I were you, I wouldn't be so quick to say that it is going to be the Red Sox that come out on top in the Series. I think the Rockies have a good chance and I hope they do it.

I agree that the Soxs pitching is far superior to the Rockies. But remember the D-Backs in 2001. You can't write off a hot team, but unfortunately they took too much time off!

It would take them 15 games to win 4. The Red Sox can't do it in only 7.

This is the same kind of question that was asked last year, except it was "How quickly do you think the Tigers will take out the Cardinals?" Or 2003, with the Yankees-Marlins series.

It's a seven-game series in which anything can happen. Trying to pretend that you really have a great idea about the outcome, to me, just shows that someone doesn't really understand the playoff structure and likelihood of certain outcomes.
