I want to start acting.?

I have always wanted to become an actress ever since i was younger. I am 18 and have no experiance, will it be too late to take up acting? as i think i might be too old for acting, as iv always wanted to start at a young age. Can someone tell me how long it takes to become a actress? Thanks

It is never too late to take up a profession. Look up some local theatres and then call them and ask if you could possible set up an audition for the next play or musical.

And when you audition, just remember this: They're not judging you as a person, they're judging how well you can play the part of another person. Don't be nervous, they're not judging you.

If you have wanted to become an actress for so long, why didn't you act in school plays? 18 is not too old to start. No one can tell you how long it takes to become an actor, because it varies from case to case. It could take several years. The first thing you will have to do is find out if you have the ability to act. You do that by auditioning for community theatre plays and by taking professional classes. I agree with the Community Theater. I've been involved with my local one for several years now and so have some of my children and most of my friends in one capacity or another. It's a great, affordable, and low impact introduction to the world of acting.

well , well , well , we have the same dream, i want to be an actor to ! i have played to 3 plays here in Greece ...if u want sth very much then u can have it !go to the university college of theatre ...and start u are 18 years old ...you are very young ...as me !so ... study and finish ur studies !then try to find a role in a play by the newspaper styles : job
