No, though he might call my beliefs, delusional. I am well aware of the misery and suffering in the world. I am equally aware of the delicate balances around me. They are easily upset but just as easily balanced again. My life has been upset by circumstances that caused me a painful, unhappy existance. The balance has tipped down since I was ten years old. It nearly caused me to choose self destruction rather than to endure any further pain. My faith sustained me and I persevered. I AM delusional. I'm living proof that you can learn to live happily ever after...one day at a time.

Nope - the other thing that works is love. Some people would argue that when we're in love we are also delusional - I've heard that, from respectable people - but I don't think it is so because love doesn't require the distortion of objective reality whereas delusion does.
I'd say love enables us to see the world as it is and still be happy.

not solely. in case you seem at each and all the suffering in the international then definite, you will possibly get fairly depressed. yet there are nevertheless stable issues in this international, issues to be satisfied approximately. Love, relatives, friends, infants, random acts of kindness....there are a number of captivating issues in life too. i think of that's healthiest to have a robust stability of the two. observe of the truly situation, observe of the suffering and soreness around you and do what you may to help alleviate it. yet additionally observe of the stable issues happening too! you want the two to around out your attitude and mature your suggestions and grow to be a compassionate individual.

I don't completely agree with that...not looking at the world around you would be enough to drive you crazy...there are always people in much, much worse situations than you who still manage to get up every day and get through.
It depends how you look at life :)
Tolerance and love helps life become better and makes you better prepared for things around you :)

not necessary deluision but certainly selfishness. if you did look at what was going on in the world it most certainly would leave you depressed, but in your own world it may not be so bad.
