Pregnant - no period. If you are bleeding while pregnant, contact your physician immediately.

You don't have periods while pregnant. However, some women do bleed a little in early pregancy that makes them think they had a "light period" which is really different from their normal period. (Generally brownish, pinkish, or light red -- can be a combo).

A heavy flow would indicate a normal period, or possible early miscarriage called a chemical pregnancy -- especially if theres a lot of blood clots. If you know you're pregnant and are bleeding heavy, its a clear sign you might be having miscarriage and should go to the ER asap.

Good luck :)

Most women don't have a period while pregnant, I had mine for a few months after getting pregnant with a few of my children but the bleeding was very light.

Some women continue to have a "period" while pg, but it's not really a period, it can be "old blood", implantation bleeding, or bleeding from a sensitive cervix (this can particulalrly happen if you use tampons or have sex). I had implanation spotting with my 2nd, it was like a period but very light and only lasted 2 days.

If you are speaking of the women who state they have had their periods while not realizing they were pregnant: their periods would not be considered the same as it normally is. Mostly you would spot and that's it. Now, if you are pregnant and you know it and you are currently bleeding - please contact your doctor ASAP.
