Silkscreening would produce the best image, but it is expensive to do it yourself if you don't have the equipment and difficult to do more than one colour.
You might be able to get a transfer sheet, but it's probably easiest to just print out the image and, glue it to the wood and coat it with waterproof varnish.

Many print shops will be glad to print out a transparent decal, for you.
Just take the Photoshop file into them. If, by some chance, they don't accept photoshop files, save a copy and convert it to a tiff, bmp, or even a jpg format.

You can print out your image, copy it on a xerox-style copier and then iron it onto the wood....just remember, the image will be reversed. Copier ink is not as stable as printer ink. That is why you don't want to use it to make booklets...especially if they will be stacked or under some kind of pressure....the pages will stick together. In this case, however, its properties work for you.
