How so? Is it a friend who has the worst timing (always needing attention when you just don't have the time *right now*)? Or is it just someone you know? I can usually avoid them from a distance (dark glasses and headphones are a great excuse for "not noticing" someone). If they insist on chasing you down, pull out a cell - on silent vibrate of course ; ) - and say you have to take the call. don't get off the phone until they leave, but be the listener in the conversation, lots of uh-huhs. This should bore anyone into leaving. If rudeness isn't a problem, the sky's the limit.

In college I had one of those.. I used to carry a book to "read " whenever I saw this one chick. She would constantly be talking about nothing at all in a most irritating way, or be trying to tell me disgusting gossip, so I would pull out the "book I had to read" when I saw her and politely ignore her in favor of my book until she got the picture and went away!

i know. people just take my kindness for a weaskness. it's like when you try to be nice to somebody, they think that that is an inventation to talk to you. i hate it just as much as you do. just tell that person that if he or she doesnt leave u alone, they will wake up with poisonous snakes in thier bed.

Uggh, that is the worst. I think its one time when violence should not be a crime. Would like nothing more than to slap a kimura on them.
