Has anyone seen it--or done it? I know that when I was first out as bi, I also had just met my first girlfriend (who is now my wife), and I wanted to talk about those things to *everybody*. I've seen newly out lesbians go from conventionally feminine to full-out diesel in a week, and I've definitely seen newly out gay men overgay it at first before throttling back.

This Onion article reminded me:

I have seen it. I did it, too. It's the new found freedom. Sometimes we go over the top...I think that as long as that part of coming out is a phase...it's all good.
You only need to become concerned when this behavior continues.

I've seen it and I've done it. When you come out it is like being free of the shackles that were binding you. You are finally out of the pupil stage and now you have your wings. You want to fly and try out these wings. When the newness wears off a little bit you get back to yourself, your new self.

I have seen it and have done it as well. I think it is just part of the coming out process. The freedom of coming out is like a burden off your shoulders and you just want to celebrate.

Don't think the machinery is gonna wear out -- as a newlywed heterosexual, the darn thing was smokin, but never burned out. (don't think it's a whole lot different huh?)

Yup I've done it..............I think most people do. It's good not to be ashamed of who you are and what you chose to do.
