Can it recover? Is Malibu and all those expensive homes and celebrities' homes be saved?

Can regular homes be saved?

Everyone will rebuild. People have short memories. In two years everyone will forget that they live in a fire-prone area and will build wooden houses with shingle roofs and plant a pretty line of trees leading right up to the house! I live in California and I've seen it over and over.

California will recover. We have so many damn tree huggers here that do not understand that the brush has got to burn every once in a while. It is protected for 30 or 40 years until it gets very much overgrown and when it does catch on fire ( I said WHEN no IF) it is out of control.
Two or three years ago we faced the same thing in the mountains from dead trees that had died from bark beetles. The stupid egnorant tree huggers protected the DEAD TREES FROM BEING CUT DOWN!!!! We hd match sticks all troughout the forest. When it finally caught on fire it was totally out of control and stoaked by the brush underneith the trees. The only think that put the fire out was mother nature. A freak rainstorm came up and dowsed the fire.
Yes, we here in Calif. are surrounded by idiots!

well, it is horrible to watch the local news and see how many have already lost their homes and/or being evacuated. california won't be destroyed by the fires though. it will take some time to rebuild all the homes lost and regroup the lives impacted. but, we will move on.

California: It never falls into the ocean when it's supposed to.
It will recover. Those homes will be destroyed I'm afraid.

california is a pretty big state, i doubt the entirety of it will be burned down. who cares if celebrity homes are destroyed? it's not like they don't have plenty of cash to get a new one. odds are most of them have second homes elsewhere. i hope all the big useless houses burn down. serves those people right for their extravagant ecologically unfriendly living.

This seems to happen every year. Maybe not this bad. But wildfires are a part of what happens in the ecological cycle.

it will recover. i don't know about some of the individuals though. not everybody there is rich with insurance.

yeah it will recover..california has earthquakes, gangs,Arnold, i think it can survive fires..
