According to our Water Softener supplier, the EC of Soft water always the sme with the EC of Well Water. Is it make a sense? According to them the softener will catch Ca, Mg ion, but not effect for the EC of the water. Is make a sense?

The usual method is to have a zeolite that has Na+ in binding sites. When Ca++ and Mg++ come through, the sites bind them and release Na+. So there are still ions present. What does the supplier say is the conductivity of well water?
