There is no worst state because every one of ours has attributes which residents like. One of the better states is Connecticut. It has variable climate,easy access to metropolitan areas like NYC and Boston, close to the ocean, not far from mountains for skiiers,great universities both public and private, great proximity to the arts. The only drawback s are some of its politicians.

Depends on what the terms are. I live in florida, I hate it for the education system, and many of the people here are just plain dumb. I'd say the entire southern United states could be classified as one large entity classified as "the worst state". Best state has to be either New York or Maryland (or maybe even Pennsylvania).

Worst: New Jersey:: i heard that if ur alone at night there on a road with hardly no one else ur more likely to get mugged or beat up for what u r (like your clique).
Best: Hawaii:: ur at a beautiful place full of loving people and it feels like your on vacation everyday when you see the clear blue ocean outside your window.

Worst state: Texas
Why: Fattest state in america, Average IQ is 93, and then of course is the bible belt where your guaranteed to get scripture shoved down your throat. God's greatest gift is free will, our ability to choose but that place takes the piss.

Worst: Lousiana - political corruption and poverty combined with natural disaster makes for one big mess. Not to mention awful humid weather and crime.
Best: West Coast states - California, Oregon, Washington. California is my home and is best because there is so much here.

I don't know about the worst but El Paso is right up there. It's dry, brown, the air stinks...I can go on and on.
The Best would definitely be Washington State.....It's beautiful, the air smells so fresh, and we have all 4 seasons...I love it.

worst is Kansas, mile's and mile's of nothing but flat land and no tree's, best is Hawaii, california is ok i guess, that is if you like women with fake breast's and plastic faces,
