Sucking an egg right into a bottle right here is an exciting test. We assure you would be speaking approximately this one at school day after at present. hit upon a bottle with an prolonged, slender neck and set it on the table. the outlet could be in basic terms sufficiently small to maintain the egg from falling interior. Boil and peel a egg. Have mom or Dad drop 3 lit suits into the bottle (if Dad does the 'dropping' then ensure the hearth extinguisher is obtainable). rapidly place the egg over the mouth of the bottle. What happens? The lit suits warmth the air interior the bottle. while air is heated it expands (and takes up extra area). because of the fact the heated air expands, a number of it escapes out the bottle. while the suits bypass out, the air interior the bottle cools and contracts (and takes up much less room), to that end becoming a decrease stress interior the bottle than outdoors. The greater desirable stress outdoors the bottle forces the egg into the bottle. choose to get the egg out of the bottle? turn the bottle the different way up and blow into it. The greater desirable air stress in the bottle will reason the egg to pop returned out! discern's be conscious. enlargement is a upward push in the size of a physique devoid of the addition of cloth to the physique. maximum solids and drinks enhance while they're heated and settlement while they're cooled. Gases additionally enhance while they're heated at a relentless stress. If a gas is heated in a field that stops enlargement, the stress of the gas will develop. warmth reasons enlargement because of the fact it will develop the vibrations of a textile's atoms or molecules. In a gas, warmth additionally will develop the fee at which the atoms or molecules flow approximately. The greater desirable stream forces the atoms or molecules farther aside and the physique turns into larger.

The egg is sucked into the bottle as the oxygen from inside the bottle is used up by the burning newspaper. The interior air pressure increases as there is nothing to replace the missing gas due to the egg blocking bottles neck.

OK first peel the egg.... when you heat the air in the bottle the air in it expands. As it cools this will produce a Vacuum on the plugged bottle the peeled egg will be sucked into the bottle. depending on the size of the neck this may shred the egg.

I have seen this science "trick" and I thought it involved a flame or heating the air inside the bottle. but I don't remember anything about newspaper. Look it up in kid science experiments on the web...it's always cool to see that egg slide into a bottle!

The egg prevents outside air (high pressure) from getting into the bottle while the flame causes the air inside the bottle (low pressure) to contract causing a small vacuum.
As the outer air pushes its way into the bottle and the vacuum is created in the bottle, the egg falls in. This ia an Amonton's Law ( sometimes referred to as Charles' Law or Gay-Lussac's Law )

yes- something with you light something in the bottle and put an egg over the top to block the oxygen and this creates a vaccumm which sucks the egg in , but I think it needs to be hard boiled so it doesn't make a mess
I would do more research before trying it though ;)
have fun!

hardboil the egg, and peel the shell off
put a lit candle in the vase
