For the last two months I have been trying to help my best friend find a job. Last night I got fed up with her not trying very hard and I called every place in our town to see who was taking applications and who wasn't. I gave her the list and she said she would go around today to put her app in everywhere. But surprise.........she hasn't made the effort once again. She is my best friend........should I keep trying to help her.....or give up on her getting a job?

There comes a time when you must let a loved one help themselves. Hopefully she will not have to hit rock bottom in order for her eyes to open and realize she needs to do this on her own.
Just tell her the truth, that youve done everything you could have to help her and you are doing no more. And stick by that. No help at all.

Let her find her own job. Why would she put any effort into it if you're doing it for her

just give up, unfortunately shes not getting the message. let her be a loser...no offense. just don't support her finacialy or lend her any money. that got me in trouble with a x-friend....who now owes me over $3000!!!!! Good luck

Sounds like you have pretty much done all that you can do, other than working for her, that is.
I would leave it up to her now.
