I really don't think she meant any harm nor do I think she's racist. However, there seems to be a double standard. Why is easier to forgive Halle than to forgive Don Imus? 2D

Never make anti semitic remarks on tv because who do you think owns the networks and the media.....and anyone can be racist no matter who their parents are....just takes a few careless words and you are branded.... i do not think she should be removed but do not have a problem with something she said ( which could hurt her career ask Mel Gibson) being removed ....its like when they bleep something out anyway.... and she is just way to Hott to keep out of the publics view

According to a news article from BBC a few Jewish people backstage made the joke and Halle thought it'd be funny to say in her interview. Being that she is bi-racial I doubt it was meant to harm, but I agree she needs to be careful. It's like Terri Hatchers comment in that episdoe of Desperate housewives about asians. It was wrong.
To me they all need to be careful and considerate of other races. HOWEVER there is a HUGE difference between these two and Don Imus. His comments bring to mind years of persecution from bigots and racist who attacked black women and used similar terms. Imus comments come from years of hate, their comments from ignorance.

I say who cares? If we stop people from making jokes about every group due to some form of political correctness we won't have any jokes. People will be reduced to slapstick humour to pass the time.

I had to look it up, because I didn't know what she said, but I think you are blowing it way out of proportion. She saw a picture of herself with her nose distorted, and said something like - that's me looking like my Jewish cousin - Maybe not the most sensitive thing to say, but hardly an attack on Jewish people. Maybe she'll go to "rehab" like the guy from Grey's Anatomy. Would that make you happy?

I think she really didn't mean to harm or offend anyone saying what she did. People take things too seriously now a days.

No. People get to say whatever they want to in this country.
Then you get the option to ignore them and they get the opportunity to deal with the consequenses.

What did she say?
I really don't think she's racist as her mother is white and so is the father of her unborn child.

If you dont like what was said, complain to the media. Spouting off here will not accomplish anything...
