I just want to make sure I wont be downloading viruses.

When you are pirating music, software, books, anything - it doesn't make a difference which p2p program you use - you run the risk of viruses. You aren't downloading off of Limewire. You're downloading from other people.

I have downloaded some viruses from Limewire, but my anti-virus software intercepted it and removed it without harm.
My pickup was that you are ok if you download a specified song. Just stay away from those self-compilations. They are more likely to be infected. But if you're running good anti-virus software, don't be too concerned.
I think Limewire is great.

It is a good chance that you can obtain viruses from limewire, as well as the fact that it is illegal to download music from limewire unless it is put there by the song's copywriter

No. Limewire is not a place to go if you want to be "safe" P2P sites are not to be used without a certain risk.

any time you download any kind of file you take a risk by the way you sure you don't want to ask this again usually it only takes 1 question to get an answer just gotta be patient

Limewire attracts viruses like a magnet....you won't notice it at first but gradually your computer will take a longer time to load and eventually it will lead to you having to restart the whole system all over again and lose all memory.
Use Acquisition or iTunes.

If you have to ask this, then the answer is no.
There are no guarantees when you're stealing, People who know how to avoid viruses also know where to safely (and legally) download music.

yeah.....i download music,videos games of all types all the time....... it has been a month since i got my dsl connection and i have downloaded 11gigs all from limewire!!!!!!!!!!!! just dont download the things whose size is shown less than it actually is!!!!!! those are viruses!!!!

Many might say yes cause it's free but no it;s not safe..I use to use lime wire and about a few months ago i received two wonderful virus, in which i had to reformat my computer.Its not worth it..I pay Morpheus and i haven't had a problem with that.
