From what i remember, the high school kids were trying to get one of their friends to become a vampire. I remember one scene where the vampires were floating outside his window.

I agree with Kaija. If it was funny, it had to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Lost Boys was not a comedy.

Although, there is a similar scene in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer AND The Lost Boys.. if you are looking for a comedy one.. it's probably Buffy The Vampire Slayer.. The Lost Boys wasn't really funny.. (it was a good movie.. just not a comedy)

As for the Love Bites answer.. not even close.. The movie with Jim Carrey is Once Bitten (Love Bites is the short title for a vampire movie starring Adam Ant as a Vampire who is shut up in a house for like a hundred years) and neither of these have a vampire floating outside a window trying to turn their friends.

That sounds like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the movie.
Pike's best friend was floating outside the window trying to make Pike let him in.
The story takes place with high school kids too.

I believe it would be "The Lost Boys" with the two Coreys and Keifer Sutherland or "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" with Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry. Since you said it was funny, it's probably BTVS.
