Philosophy, in the comparable vein as medicine (snuckle), calls for the exercising of the two mind and a experience for the artwork in progression. On that foundation, there isn't something to exclude women persons from this pursuit. some could even argue that this greater valuable suits women persons for that artwork - I disagree, when you consider that i be attentive to and experience greater valuable! At my interview for a activity with the risk-free practices provider, i became into requested approximately my techniques-set - I stated pretty plenty the above - i'm the two intuitive and rational - i don't leap to conclusions (some thing they could use a stable deal of now and returned),and jointly as my experience for an argument is surprising, i visit returned it with fact.

Feminists are concerned with creating social, cultural, economic and political gender equality and ending discrimination toward women. That's what it means to be a feminist. Women, as mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters or as human beings may be interested in issues that affect men, but that concern has nothing to do with the ideology of feminism.

The Black Civil Rights movement wasn't concerned with bringing equal rights to Whites; it's not like Whites, as a demographic, needed them and one movement can't focus on improving life for every demographic. That is not to say that Black people didn't care about issues that affected everyone.

I would suggest that feminists are concerned with their own masculinity because nobody is completely masculine or feminine, and we've been trained from infancy to remain within our gender. On the other side of the ledger, most gay boys and men are racked with guilt because they're unable - it's not a matter of choice - to follow the dictates of our society. It's also a question of non-acceptance in the workplace and thus, the majority of lesbians and homosexuals remain in separate closets but on the same side of the room.

Feminists are concerned with all issues relating to gender; specifically, standards of femininity and masculinity and how they can work against individuals.

Because early feminists were supported both socially and theoretically by men. The word Feminism was coined by a man. Feminist theorists now work along side masculinity theorists . I think you are assuming feminists hate men - this is rubbish and a media myth, don't be like the idiots who fall for it.

Gender theorists work together to evaluate societal and cultural constraints on BOTH the genders in this day and age.

No James, they don't try to be masculine, your understanding of feminism is stuck in the 1970's. Feminists DO NOT want to be like men my dear. I'm afraid you're showing your ignorance. Try studying a subject before you attempt to answer a serious question about it.

I think that penis envy is very rare. Most women are perfectly content with what they are and they don't want to be men. What they want is not to be put into neat little boxes and restricted to certain behaviors and interests simply because they're women. Besides, if penis envy were so prevalent, then how come more women aren't undergoing sex change operations? The vast majority of people who undergo these operations are men who want to become women, not the other way around.

1. Because in our culture, historically speaking: masculine=good and feminine=bad. So it makes sense to analyze why culture views one set of traits as good and one as bad.
2. Because when you look at gender roles/behavior ACROSS cultures, then you see that notions of masculinity and femininity are not the same, that what it means to be masculine in one culture is not the same as in another culture. So, it's just interesting.

But I can't really answer the question without more information.

They see it as a threat. Feminism is no longer a legitimate political argument as women have equal rights - and this is mainly what feminism stands against now.

Penis envy.

I'm being completely serious, this is a classic issue of psychosexual development in females, and the underlying cause of much female behavior, according to Sigmund Freud. He is well known for his strong opinions, but it hardly the father of psychology.
The father of American psychology is Henry James.
Feminists identify more with the gender roles related to masculinity. They may feel uncomfortable or hostile towards their place in society and their perceived treatment by society, in respect to their gender.
