A map of the gravitational anomalies of the moon looks sorta cool on the Near Side, but the Far Side is creepy. Perhaps time has eroded what was once giant letters spelling out a message ... like "You Are Not Alone" or "Where's the Beef?"

I guess this could be just a giant Rorschach Test, but the question isn't 'Can the human brain see things where they ain't?' its 'Do YOU see a message?'

yeah it sorta does,

maybe it said

I see no message, though the patterns are interesting. What I do see is the effect of tidal flattening that causes the subsurface concentrations of mass to spread out. On the near side the opposite is true. There we have lumps of mass concentration caused by the force of gravitational attraction from the Earth. The far side has been stretched and flattened in terms of mass concentrations during the early cooling phase before the entire structure of the moon solidified.

It is the tendency of the human brain to "see" patterns where no patterns actually exist. Dont you ever stare at the clouds and "see" patterns? Do you think for a second that what you see has any reality? Haven't you ever been driving along and seen something at a distance that upon closer examination wasn't what you first "saw" at all? Its just the way we are wired.

Yeah, NASA put it there in the 60's. It's the old phrase: "Coke: It's the Real thing" It's gone through a few slogans since then.

It can't be. There can't be any message on moon. It's just fiction. Not the truth. It's probably cavities called craters on the moon.
