you should worry more that you have a insane Zionist as president descended from Salonika Greece.
The anti-Americanism in the world will become anti-Europeanism too if you're not careful.

Neither and Both... I will explain.
The Bush Administration used false propaganda, mixed with lies, in order to brainwash the American ppl into believing anybody that didn't believe Saddam had WMDs, therefore did not support the war, was unpatriotic and cowardly. He used France as a target.
Now to answer the question. Half of the govt is Democratic and Democrats saw through these lies and does NOT hate France. The other half of the govt and the ignorant, uneducated that fell for Bush's lies, THE REPUBLICANS, hate France.

Do French people really believe that Americans are angry with them?
I haven't heard anything anti-French since that stupid freedom fries several years ago. I think only the most radical pro-war Americans could possibly be angry with France for its refusal to support the Iraq invasion. Any anger the rest of us have is for own government, for the way our money and the lives of our soldiers have been spent.

It's mainly Republicans that got the anger at France going, and their followers did silly things like change "french fries" to "freedom fries".
The way I (and probably many democrats) viewed France was like a friend that was trying to keep us out of a barroom brawl. France and Germany and others were trying to keep us out of Iraq and many of us believe we should've listened to our friends. Right wingers will totally disagree with me, I know, but they can lecher-moi le cule.
That said, I hope France can handle it if your Muslim population ever gets really furious about something, because we're talking millions of people now, and if riots or an ethnic uprising broke out in France.....??? I'm not so sure USA would come to your aid if that ever happens.

People throughout the US, (I say so because it is all over that I've heard this) realize that the French government often takes an anti-American position on the international scene.
10 The break from Nato because they can't lead it (or so it seems)
2) they scuttle the attempt by the USA to have the UN enforce the treaty violations by Iraq, thus bringing on the second Iraq war, later we found records showing that huge amounts of Iraqie oil for food money was going to French gov officials for influence
3) American forces in Iraq found large amounst of French military hardware sold to Iraq to kill Americans
4) French bias against the English Language and American influence is well know in America
5) Finally, Americans resent this kind of attitude considering you all would be speaking German right now if not for US!
Thanks and your welcome!

I live in the US and I am not angry at France or French people. Right now immigration is a big issue in the States, but that's aimed more at Mexico and our southern borders. Its a very heated issue. I traveled to France several years ago and its a beautiful country! Rest assured, you are welcome here!!
