I have just had my baby at the end of June and I received a depo shot before I left the hospital and I bleed normally for just having a baby and for the months of August and September I didn't get my period at all. I received my second shot at the end of September and for the past two and a half I have been bleeding off and on. One day it will be heavy bleeding like my period and the next day it would stop, everyday it is something different with the bleeding one day it's there and the next it's non-existent. I wanted to know if this is normal with the depo shot because it's becoming very aggrevating and if it is because of the depo shot I was considering switching to the pill. So is this normal with the shot???

Weird bleeding is very normal on the shot, lots of women get very different reactions to it and there is nothing you can do but wait it out. After the first six months, a lot of people stop getting their periods all together.
If you want something more regular, definately switch to the pill.

This is very much normal. Depo causes nasty nasty side effects for lots of women Some women bleed continuously on the shot and others are so sick on it they can't even function so what you are seeing is normal.

Its normal but I'd get off this shot if I were you.

I was on it for some years and now I'm on Kariva (pill) and a LOT happier, healthier, and side affect FREE!
