This is just straight algebra.

Since RST = RSU + UST
6x - 2 = 3x - 1 + 2x + 13
Solve for x:
Grouping like terms,

6x - 3x -2x = 2 - 1 + 13
x = 14 degrees

RSU = 3x -1 = 3(14) - 1 = 41 degrees

since su bisects angle RST, angle RSU and UST are equal

3x - 1 = 2x + 13
x= 14

rsu = 3*14 - 1 = 41

RST=RSU+UST
6x-2=3x-1 + 2x+13
6x-3x-2x = -1+13+2
x=14
RSU = 3x-1 =3(14)-1 = 42-1 =41

mRSU = mUST
3x-1 = 2x+13
x = 14

OR

mRSU + mUST = mRST
(3x-1) + (2x+13) = 6x-2
5x+12 = 6x-2
x = 14

mRSU = 3x-1 = 3*14-1 = 41
