This is just straight algebra.
Since RST = RSU + UST
6x - 2 = 3x - 1 + 2x + 13
Solve for x:
Grouping like terms,
6x - 3x -2x = 2 - 1 + 13
x = 14 degrees
RSU = 3x -1 = 3(14) - 1 = 41 degrees

3x - 1 = 2x + 13
x= 14
rsu = 3*14 - 1 = 41
