Anyone who has read my posts knows that I am a huge Saints fan. But even I am not convinced that the offense is completely back where it needs to be. Reggie Bush would have run for well over 100 yards if not for penalties. The offense looked very lethargic in the first half against the Falcons. And the secondary still gave up a big play (mainly Fred Thomas) in a critical part of the game to a very average Roddy White at receiver.

But the Saints have a soft part of the schedule before their November 25 rematch with Carolina. They play the 49ers, who may still be without Alex Smith. And where is Frank Gore? Has he played this season yet? This game could either be a blowout in the Saints favor if they get their offense going like they did against Seattle. That game was not as close as the score indicated. It could end up being 34-17. Or it could be a real sloppy game if the offenses play horrible as they've been playing earlier this season, which could make for a 13-9 game or something like that. But I seem to lean more towards the blowout. I see Brees having his first 300 yard passing game, Colston having his first 100 yard receiving game and Bush getting 150 yards combined.

I am still not sold on the Saints being a better team quite yet. They struggled against a horrible Falcons team at home and now they playing on the west coast which is never easy..

But then again San Fran looks utterly awful. So this will be a very hard one to predict. I am going to say 24-14 Saints in a sloppy game.

Saints should win this game. These are two bad teams. Reggie Bush has to deal with Patrick Willis and the better player is Willis. As long as Brees has some time, he should get enough points (17) to beat the god awful offense of the Whiners.

Saints 17
San Fran 6
