YES!! The main thing is your computer does store cookies and temporary files from websites you visit. Your computer will have many files it stores and tracts the information retained from different sites you go to in your browser. You also have your data files, storage files; this is just to start off with. There is only a few ways to wipe files from your computer permanently!

I have provided you with some links to click on and can read. This will provide you with information that is most useful to you to use and understand. This is also a good way to check up on anyone using your computer.

I wish you the best of luck. I hope this information is useful to you:)

HOW are you deleting the history? You can do it by right clicking each item then left clicking delete in the box.Or by using an antivirus program. But any method will still not stop a person with the knowledge from seeing what you have been accessing, even from outside your house.I would confront him and demand to know,if he is a control freak or just has nasty little tendencies you were,nt aware of,you are entitled to your privacy.Personally i would take over as administrator on the pc and have a password only you know for accessing your account,or even better ,the pc.Tell him to get his own pc.

Besides the hitory, it is also possible (by somewhat difficult) to determine the sites by looking at the Temporary Internet Files or the Cookies. (Both can be deleted where you delete the history in IE).

It is also possible that he has installed a keylogger or another type of tracking program which stores the Internet history.

Best way to keep out of trouble is not to go to sites that he would have an issue with....

It depends on how it was deleted, if you simply did it in Internet Explorer there are tools that can still recover it.
I would say use a third party program that not only cleans but wipes the data (over writes it numerous times) and clears slack space.

yes if you do a system restore which takes you back to a date you choose or it could be that you are only deleting history off the toolbar youre using at the time. go to the start menu click on control panel then internet options click on delete files and then delete cookies then clear history from that bit too. but as i said at the start theres always the system restore to find out whats been looked at.

Temporary internet files folder, cookies folder, and if you have a network program, they keep a log of accessed sites. The files on your pc can be deleted, but the network file is usually online.

The only way site would show up in browsing history his if some one gone to that site or you have some malware and got pop ups or sites popping up. Do your anti-malware scan and some sites have pop upds and adds. Some sites are safe and some not.

It's recorded in the registry. So unless you edit the registry to delete them all (they'll be there quite a few times) anyone who knows what they're doing can find em.

There's probably other places to look but that's where I used to go

It most certainly is!

Just look in your temporary internet files folder!

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

Hope you're not doing anything naughty!

There are other programs that can be hidden that track internet usage, for keeping an eye on those pesky kids!

You can use a free recovery program to undelete the computer history. This may not complete undelete all the files; however you may be able to unearth most of them.
