I can completly remember my 1st birthday. I had a Raggedy Ann Cake and I remember sitting at the cake and looking down at it, and being happy.

I can also remember being picked up out of a playpen by my grammie, I must have been under 2. I remeber the room I was in, and the wooden playpen and the room was pretty dark.

I can also remember falling in my grandparents pool. I remember leaning over, falling off the deck and falling, falling, falling- then I saw my grampie's legs shoes and all jump in next to me and pull me up. Gramp says I was about 18 months old, my little brother wasn't born yet.

This would have been over 28 years ago!!!

Most people find it hard to believe but my parents have told me that the things in my memory go back to when I was 9 months old. I remember being in a carrier on top of a picnic table and I could see a blue wash bowl hanging on the wall by a door. I also remember being on a blanket and I couldn't get off of the blanket, I wanted somebody to come and get me. ( I wasn't crawling yet) I also remember having my diaper changed and the day this lady came and bought my baby crib. I have so many memories before the age of 1 and 2 years old. Everything after the age of two I remember very well. I freak my parents out when I can describe an event that happened. I'm 41 years old now, and I can tell you stories about when I was two years old like it was yesterday and they are not things that I've heard someone talk about. My family can back me up on that, I've made them remember things that happened.

I was thinking of asking this very same question. My first memory was in Walters, Oklahoma. My family was from New Hampshire and my Dad was getting discharged at Ft. Sill, Ok., so we moved down there to be with him. He had been in the Pacific WWII for 33 months so we were anxious to be with him. This was either Dec, 1944 or Jan 1945. I was just 3 1/2 years old.

I remember getting stung by a bee, going into the tornado shelter a couple times, feeding some backyard chickens, watching the trains go through, jumping on my Dad's back,
the brat next door who shot song birds with his BB gun, catching hailstones and putting them in my pocket to show my Mum (that's when I learned about ice melting).

Funny though, my brother is two years older than me and draws a complete blank about the six or so months we lived there. I remember going on a short walk with him and we said hi to a native American, a few moments later he got bite by an ant and we ran home.

Thanks for asking the question, I'll star 4 u.

Some real early memories here that's great. My grandchildren are about 2 and 3 1/2. I think they are going to remember stuff from earlier than I did. I haven't formed any theory about this but it would be a good one to think about.
My grandson is already in pre school whereas I didn't start until 6. I wonder if growing faster might account for having earlier memories.

Trivia info: Lee Marvin claimed to have memories from when he was in his Mum's womb.

the previous answerer have been given it stunning in purely some words. i'm 50 and can communicate approximately suggestions. the good ones could make you smile for a 2nd yet in the tip leave you unhappy, given which you already know those cases are long gone for good. on the different hand the undesirable ones make you experience only approximately heroic, you tell your self "How ought to I ever stay to tell the story or conquer that" and you think of those cases are long gone for good - Thank God. There are additionally the suggestions of issues that have been only extreme-high quality and delightful yet not in extreme and those are those you are able to think of approximately and not employing a good emotional reaction, they only make you dreamy.

I was about 20 months old.

My pants leg caught fire when my dad was burning some branches in the backyard. I don't remember it happening but I can vividly remember sitting on the kitchen counter with my mom running cold water over my leg in the sink.

I was three and I always crawled in bed with my parents every night. One night, I was asleep with my Dad while mom was in the living room. I had a nightmare that a dinosaur arm grabbed me while I was laying in bed. I woke up, screamed bloody murder and mom had to stay up all night with me while I balled my eyes out and was too scared to go back to sleep. That was the last night I spent in my parent's bed!
