LOL, husbands don't care for inlaws, most of the time. It is normal.

I think the question is: is his behavior different towards your family than other outings? For example - if you wanted to go visit friends, would he be ready to go or would he say he's tired?
If he's like this all the time, then address that issue. Does he take vitamins? Is this a medical issue? Is he depressed?
If it's just your family, forget about him being tired and take a real good look at how he treats your family and how your family treats him...

Sounds like your husband either has a really hard job, or he simply does not like your family. What do you do when he visits his family? Do you go willingly or do you complain and bring up the fact that he does not visit your family?
Is it just a recent change or has he always been that way?

It's possible he doesn't like them, or maybe he finds their behavior questionable or tedious. Things like relatives that have the same recurring argument at every gathering, drunks who like to give beer to babies, or an unfortunate tendency to drink to excess and puke all over everything. Face it, marrying into some families groups you with some people you wouldn't want to socialize with otherwise. Maybe these dynamics are applicable here. Of course it's also possible I'm projecting my experiences onto your situation, but it's worth asking him and, more importantly, listening to his response. Good luck.

You have to realize that everyone has a different energy level. If he is always tired after work than that's it.But if he is normally energetic after work than one of two things are happening. He has something physically wrong with him and should see a doctor.Or he doesn't like being around your family.Good luck.

Very few men enjoy going to the in-laws. Most think of it as a chore. Don't take it personally, just be grateful that he goes sometimes. The way I solved that problem is I just invite my mom to our home, hehe, problem solved. He doesn't have to go anywhere at all.

He probably works 12-14 hour days to support you. Wonder what is wrong with him, hmmmm... Give the man slack. You should support him and not be so adversarial. Or maybe visit your family less. they are probably PITA anyway.

Maybe he doesn't want to be around your family. In-laws are a touchy subject. I don't like to visit my in-law and I surely don't make my husband visit my family.

Maybe after working he just wants to stay at home and relax, rather than go somewhere to socialize and make small talk.
