With the ridiculous amount of coverage the New England teams get, how will ESPN react if the Rockies win the World Series? Will it read something like...

"Rocky Mountain High; Rockies Win!"

or...

"Sox Lose; How Could This Happen?"

My vote goes to the second headline, even if it would turn out to be a seven-game series.

Here's another scenario that could only happen in another world: Pirates/Royals World Series.

What morons their analysts are for voting Clint Hurdle manager most likely to be fired first before the season started. ESPN would need a map to find Coors Field and as roster list to name more than 3 players on the team. It will be how did the red sox lose because the Yankees and the Red Sox are the only teams ESPn gives a damn about.

It will be in small print rockies win world series. The story will be over in one day. Im rooting for the Rockies nobody is giving them a chance. They freakin won 21 of there last 22 games & the so called experts are saying this will be a Red Sox sweep.

Neither, the headline will read

YANKEES HIRE MATTINGLY

ESPN forgets that many people in this country don't care about the Yankees and now are getting to not to care about the Red Sox even more. Go Rockies and I have never been to Denver!

The way the media is they will still be talking about the Yankees ( like they are now ) and then later wondering how the Red Sox beat themselves or how the umpires blew it .
That's why I'm for the "ROCKIES"

New England has not been annexed in any way to New York City, so to the guy who started this thread, you obviously don't pay much attention to the time-tested ESPN philosophy.

But, anyway, if Boston doesn't win, I could see:

"Rejoicing Reigns! Boston Loses! Our Company Nightmare Has Ended!"

Or, quite possibly:

"Tyler Clippard To Yankees: 'I Believe In Us...We'll Be Champs In '08!'"
