I'll never understand why hackers (the malicious type) deliberately harm someone else's computer. I don't see what kind of benefit a malicious hacker can receive from trashing another person's computer. People pay good money for their computers, but then some hacker installs malicious software with their knowing it - that's so disrespectful and outrageous.

Can someone please tell me what possesses malicious hackers to do the things they do?

They do show intelligence, but some where along the line they were shorted on attention and love. They probably were not breast Fed and had older brothers or sisters that picked on them. Of course mal nutrition or possibly over eating has been a determent to their rational development. Best I can figure.

There are many answers to this question as you might suspect because everyone is different.

To best answer your question, I will give you a similar situation.

Why do anglers catch fish and throw them back? Why do you build a sandcastle only to knock it down later (or have the water do it)?

The answer is that you do it simply to prove that you can.

Most hackers hack for the same reason; to prove that they can. EGO. Most malicious hackers do what they do because it improves their skill.
