If you have a real injury documented by a doctor, and the doctor has put you on lite duty or restrictions or has taken you off work then you need to contact the company and talk to the manager and get the worker comp insurance involved, or ask them how they are going to take care of the bills and your lost wages.
Some companies will just pay you your salary and pay the medical bill instead of filing a comp. claim. This saves them money in the long run, when they file a comp. claim it raises there rates and that rate increase is huge compared to your salary and medical bills.
If they are refusing to take care of this you need to contact a lawyer first, and then contact the Dept. of Labor for you area and report the company. They are required by law to carry this insurance or have proof of a financial bond in the amount of 40% of the Annual Gross Income of all the workers combined. So it's not like they don't have it, because they can't keep a business license without it. By, DOT requirements they must file proof of this insurance yearly to the DOT.
So there you go, get calling, and if you can't get a good answer call a good lawyer, he will make sure that you get what's rightfully yours.

You don't say how long ago this happened, so it's a little hard to tell you much.

Have you been to a doctor yet about the injury? That would be the first step. Ask your employer if they have a doc they send you to for on the job injuries, or go to your own.

You might have to see a lawyer, but first I'd talk to the employer again about the problem.

You bet you should see a lawyer. You need to do this right away because if the shoulder is injured you should be getting a check each and every month until the shoulder heals.

Speak to an attorney... Usually they will take good cases on contingency, which means that they don't get paid unless you get paid... Chances are that you will get paid but you have to do your homework and follow-up with the medical stuff.

Did you report the injury in the required amount of time? If not, you may be out of luck.
