Jim Tressel, sweater vest and all, is the best coach of not only this season, but the past decade. Everybody seems to forget that this is a rebuilding year for Ohio State. Not too many teams get to 8-0 during rebuilding years, weak schedule or not. And as far as the weak scedule is concerned, how many teams schedule a Pac 10 game that early in the season. Look at LSU's non-conference games. The schedule was made over a year ago, it was impossible to know that the Huskies were going to be that bad. As for the Big 10, they are much stronger than they are given credit for. I think this will all be shown during bowl season. Michigan gets beat by a 1-AA team and all of the sudden the entire Big 10 sucks? Come on.

My response is fro Kris 10 regarding the Ohio State schedule. You may think it's weak, and I don't disagree with you...to an extent. Kinda funny now that Ohio State is #1 again, THEY are the ones to get questioned. What about the schedule they played last year, was that one week? I bring up last you and this is why (For all you SEC and USC fans)
Ohio State ran the table last year during the regular season. Yes, I know they lost the big game. HOWEVER, Ohio State won every game last year decisively. They were the #1 team and they played and won like the #1 team should. They did not lose to an un-ranked team, over HALF their schedule was ranked and they played the #2 team 3 times in the SAME season. Has LSU done that/ This year? USC? Florida? You cannot compare these teams to Ohio State because they have not performed like Ohio State did while in the top spot.
Ohio States schedule may be easy, there is no doubt. It's easy because they did not expect much from the team this year, so they scheduled some easier games...AS DOES EVERYONE. So, when comparing your team to Ohio State's schedule, maybe you should look at all the easy, un-ranked non-conference games they have played before you question Ohio State. Ohio State is undefeated, end of story.
Sorry, if you are #1 and you lose..you no longer deserve to be #1

A for sure. That guy's hard work is starting to pay off. And only in what 12 years? He has gone from ZERO (no football program at all) to HERO (winning top ranked NCAA team). I don't care if you like USF or not. We aren't talking about the team, but rather the coach. HE's the clear cut winner!
Mangino would be too expensive to throw an awards banquet for. It would take a staff of 300+ caterers to cook enough crap to fill that fatso up!!! He is a good coach too, but he hasn't done the most-est! He just eats the Hostess!!!!
P.S. I COULD COACH OHIO STATE THIS SEASON!!! It's not that hard to coach a College team against H.S. schedule!

In the 2008 Class, this is the list of priorities 1. Dennis Rodman - Possibly the greatest rebounder and defensive forward 2. Dennis Johnson - One of the most phenomenal defensive guards 3. Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton - Famous Harlem Globetrotter and NBA legend I know that during the 1997 Allstar weekend, Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon were selected as part of the top 50 ever to play in the league, they are ensured to be in the Naismith Hall of Fame. But you are right, there are many great contributors to the game of basketball, who are underrated and forgotten by the Hall of Fame commitee. For example, Dennis Rodman, arguably the greatest defensive forward to ever in the NBA, who will not be in the Hall of Fame anytime soon, since David Stern did not like his personality. But his teammates and fans will always respect him.

Jim Tressel should get it since everyone has doubted them ALL year. They continue to doubt too. Penn State fans are going to be disappointed this Saturday night after Ohio State beats them by 17.

Lloyd Carr baby, he'll seal it up by beating tosu one last time and then revenge against SC in the Rose Bowl. Unlike Tressel, Carr can actually not blow a season against Penn State....
