A person I know wants me to drive 3hrs somewhere to get a car. When we arrive at where the car is he wants me to drive it home for him (an other 3hrs). How much should i get paid?

I really not know. A truck driver without his own truck may make 35-40 cents a mile (I not say this is exact!). A truck driver that owns his truck may make $1-1.50 per mile. So, you may want to consider so much per mile, say 50 cents. I guess 3 hours @ 180 miles (That 60 miles per hour). Total of 360 round trip. $180. This may seem a little too much.
IF, you charge by the hour. Say you happy making $10 an hour. Figure 7 hours as you may spend another hour getting the car. $70
If, you happy with $50, then ask $70 and he may pay it, or he may ask; "How about $50 and I buy meals"?
But, it really what you will feel happy with and if he happy to pay that.

for a good friend or family member I would do it for free for anyone else I always charge a minimum of $25/hour
