Yes, you can push start a car with no battery and pop the clutch. Popping the clutch acts the same way as using the starter motor and spins the engine to start the car.
The thing is, you need to generate enough electricity during the initial push to get the fuel pump to start pumping and all the electronics in the car to work off the alternator. Older cars with carburators was much easier to do this with as the fuel pump was mechanical.
It is not recommended for modern cars as it also puts stress on the catalytic converter, but if you're in a pinch, it will work.

it depends on the car, if you have a small car like a Honda then maybe because i know they will run without a battery but have never tried to start one without a battery. The battery in a small car is just there to start the car after that your charging system runs everything, but after market subs when they peak. If you have subs i would not turn them one if you try this.
A larger car or truck, I'm not sure on how well this would work just because i have never gotten a bigger car up to speed while trying to push start it, the car should run once you have it turned on.
This is very hard on your clutch by the way.

You have to be rolling downhill and then turn the key. I don't have a manual so I don't know the details with the clutch pedal, but I've seen it done. You still need a battery for your car though. This is just for emergency starts.

It was true in the 1920's when cars were equipped with magnetos that created electricity for ignition, and even to a certain extent on DC generator equipped cars. However since the advent of the alternator which produces AC current you need a battery for the alternator to store the electrical energy it produces.
So the answer would be categorically no.
