I hate to say that's politics today as well as what most people in this country think. If you look at the USA today their are a million people with their hands out asking for something free. Because they deserve it is what they will say. My great grandparents came to this country and work had to make their life's dreams come true, they did not get anything for free they worked for it. So whats wrong with people today?
What happend to the term "Service Before Self"

It's a whole different generation of democrats. Kennedy couldn't win the nomination in the democrat party today.
I grew up in a staunch democrat family. My dad is live long union worker who has always voted straight democrat ticket.
He never missed voting in an election...until 04. He didn't vote, and says he won't vote this time if the nominee is Hillary.
Because of my upbringing I registered democrat, and married a democrat union worker. I didn't realize until a few years ago that I didn't have to follow my dad's lead like a zombie.
My husband is also opening his eyes on the changes in the democrat party and starting to take note. He says he won't vote for Hillary, but he's not quite convinced to vote for a republican...but I'm working on it.
JFK was one of last of a great political party.

JFK was a conservative. Hillary is not. The Democrat Party has changed tremendously since the time of JFK. LBJ was the beginning of a major slide towards Socialism and the 'Nanny State' in the Democrat Party.

Of course not.
But, the "dems" and their adversaries all want to get elected and they target the segments of the population which they believe give them the best opportunity to do so.
In general democrats target people who benefit from the programs they create.
It's much more complicated than that however.
Your question is interesting - but kind of on the periphery of reality.

Their philosophy has changed since the days of JFK. His vision was one of doing for one's country. The current vision is one of entitlement, which Hillary is clearly catering to.
My Mom is a Kennedy-style liberal and even she can't stomach Hillary and some of the current democratic crop.

Bush and Reagan increased the size of government and government spending. Do they think that the early leaders of the Republican party were foolish for wanting minimal federal government and no foreign entanglements?
Both Parties will do and say what ever they think will motivate the most amount of their sheople to get out and vote for them, therefore getting them into office so they can work on wasting the dollars we give them. Both parties want what their country will do for them, but thats JMO.
The important lesson is to back party lines with no critical thinking of your own. Back it, twist arguments to fit the Party.
Yawn. Back to sleep for me.

You are wrong - yes, very wrong!
To trythisagain, you are wrong, very wrong too!
JFK would smack you to the ground for calling him a conservative.
He always wanted to help poor people and the working class, not steal food from their mouths like cons do on a daily basis.
