Keep dressing the toe as you have been. Providing the quick, (the thin line between nail and flesh) has not been destroyed, the nail will grow back. Depending on your age, approx 6 weeks to regrow completely.

I've accidentally ripped off the toenail to my big toe three separate times! Talk about pain!
Yes, they grow back. Takes several months. (The toe nails grow only about 1/4 as fast as your finger nails.)

I had mine surgically removed and inside a year they had grown back, seems nothing will stop a toenail from growing short of amputation of the toes.
you are doing as you should, just let the nail come loose on it's own, keep the nail bed covered and it should take between six months and a year for a new nail to grow.

Yeah.. that is going to enhance back. Toe nails are only like hair..they're made out of Keratin.whether you pull out your hair from their roots, that is going to nonetheless improve.only like our nails. I had the comparable incident.i assumed it won't improve back in spite of the shown fact that it did..that is going to easily take time. . a pair of months consistent with probability.

Yes they do. A few years ago my daughters lost her big toe nail - it grew back within 6 months or so. I 'm not sure why, but now it is extremely discolored.
