Some shrimp is brough in from China, I beleive. That will be interesting to learn as the week goes along.

I always try to do that. It's difficult to do if you are buying anything for the home or car, but it can be done.
My sneakers , New Balance 644 are made in the USA
We as Americans really don't know how powerful we are.
Stop buying unnecessary junk and china will fold like the cheap wallets they make.

What are you hoping to accomplish by doing this? do you think it will radically shift the economy and all of a sudden all these companies are going to bring jobs back to america?

LOL no. It doesnt work like that. as long as the labor is cheap in other countries and the profit margin is large, they will always use that to their advantage.

I just got back from overseas working in the middle of the desert and didnt purchase anything at all, so that was 2 weeks for me, whats the next challenge.

Remember that if you eat at Taco Bell, you sre support countries who use slave labor, like China does, and you also need to check and see which other fast food chains buy their food from China.

When I shop I look at everything if made in china in put it back>If it dosen't say I ask the manager>Soon they will get the hint>

I can go a week without purchasing anything at all. We ALL need to try a little more discipline and restraint.

and, i bet it will be next to impossible.

for LED ZEP, i am a realist, i have no lofty hopes of tippin' the scales back our way, it's way past that. i just plan to boycott chinese goods for one week, as a challenge to myself.
