In your opinion what is the worst thing about answering a question on Y!A?

The worst thing is the disappointment of the question going to a vote, after answering a difficult question with a lot of research done for the asker. There may have been several answerers who may have done a lot of work for the asker, but then it went to a vote because the asker was too lazy to pick or forgot about it. I felt like being used - a convenience. No appreciation for any of the answerers.

Worst thing is when people just log in to give lame-o answers, not because they really want to answer but because stupid Yahoo forces you to go answer random questions in order to get points. You need points to move up in "levels" so you can do other stuff. An indirect coersion of this kind is lame-o and goes against the American spirit of "freedom". Yahoo should get rid of the point/level system and let people choose to answer only if they really want to. This way, all of us will have a shorter list of higher quality answers to browse, instead of scrolling through loads of crap.

The fact that some people, just don't seem to understand that even if this is a site, for "information purposes", it can also be fun and those people who "thumb down" everyone, take away "the fun" part. It's sad!

Getting violated for your answer. I got violated for telling a guy he was ignorant. I thought people were here to ask our opinions? If anything his question was a violation.

Someone don't like sensible answer and if we do give a silly or rude answer, they delete it in an instant and expect a violation email from yahoo community....

I don't like that people:

-Post only half a question to try to stir up curiosity
-Don't put their question in the form of a question, but a statement with a question mark at the end of it.
-Some people don't stick to the subject and offer advice the asker doesn't need.
-Are hateful
-Post 1-worded questions
-Don't research their question first, instead of asking it AGAIN.
