It would be wonderful if our families approved of everything we wanted to do, but that's not the way life really is. If this boyfriend means alot to you, then continue the relationship and possibly, with time, your parents will come to accept him. If you love him, they may just have to accept the fact that they can't impose their values on you. Good luck.

You're parents aren't "races?" Well that's good to know. I'm sure they'd be upset to think people run them all the time.

Are you sure they're not "Racist?"

Oh, and "interracial" is one word.

Um, sounds to me that they might actually be a little racist.
What's to "believe" in when it comes to interracial dating? It happens and that cannot be denied. So to say someone does not believe in it is saying they don't believe it occurs.

Now if you meant to say they don't Approve of it, that's different, and yeah, that makes them a little racist.

My parents ARE racist, yet I dated a person of another race.
It didn't matter at the time - they couldn't accept me for being gay, why should I expect them to accept my African American boyfriend?
At least they let him come to the house....
A few years earlier, when my brother brought home a black girl, my parents told him that she could stay, but she couldn't ever come back.
Sad.

if I were you, I'd keep on dating your boyfriend: your parents already accepted the fact that you're gay, they have no problem with that, if I were you I'd try to give them more time and more occasions to get them to know your boyfriend better, so that they'll eventually start accepting him without problems

it might take time, but they have to understand that if this relationship makes you happy, they shouldn't try to obstacle you and your boyfriend just because you have a different skin color

U continue to have a relationship!! They are not dating the person you like so what does it matter to them!! I'm in a inter-racial relationship and I'm just passing on the information that was given to me when I asked the same question.

Think about yourself and not what others think. Your choice is your choice, no one can decide for you.
