He said if Torre was gone he'd seriously consider going elsewhere. Now he has done a remarkable turnaround. Comments?

The Indians do not have crappy pitching. Before speaking out of ignorance, look up your stats.

It was probably a knee jerk reaction to saying it in the first place. Torre backed him for so long, if he had left, Mariano might not be of the same stature with the new manager. It's like the soccer club Chelsea - when the manager Mourinho left recently, many players stated they would leave and cried foul over the treatment of their beloved coach. A month later, they're mostly quiet and getting down to business.

They're still working for a boss at the end of the day.

He finally woke up and smelled the coffee....He knows the Yankees are the only club that will pay him what he wants and not what he is worth.....He is one of the best closers in the game and will be in the Hall of Fame....But if he went on the open market he wouldnt get what he wants....Wait and see A-ROD will be sining a different song when his agent gets the fact the that the Yankees are the only club that will over pay him!!! He is not going away I wish he would!!!!!

Yankeefan all the way!!!

He's not going anywhere. Like all ball players, he wants to win championships. Despite the Yankees recent playoff history, they still are in it every year, and stand the best chance of winning one. Other teams win a championship on average once every 3 decades if that. Who would you want to play for?

Mo isn't the same pitcher that he used to be 3 years ago. Yankess still respect him for his loyalty. It's better for him to stay in New York

Yeah its funny. They know where the "bread gets buttered".
The yanks losing really had nothing to do with torre. They just got crappy pitchers like the tribe. Wang chung tonite was horrible.
I think mattingly will make a great manager. He doesn't have that raccoon eyeball look either.

But if rivera wants to come over to the tribe, we'll accomodate him.

:) :) :)
