Feminism fights for womens rights only, thats ok.

It is when feminism fights against mens rights that draws its critics

Well society doesn't "need" to be told that only working women are valuable.

Society doesn't "need" to have men's rights lessened based upon a stereotype perpetuated by feminists.

Society doesn't "need" more pc laws boxing people in & creating a culture of hypersensitivity & loss of First Amendment rights.

Society doesn't "need" more women's studies curriculums infecting each new generation of women with anti-male victimization myths.

It's not just that feminists fight against men's rights... (Which is bad enough. Look at the actions of N.O.W.) ...but they also create a divide between the sexes based on Marxist ideologies, false statistics, sexist literature, & paranoid notion of the patriarchal boogyman.

ALL MEN can be placed in their narrow box & painted as abusers. Feminists stereotype men as evil oppressors & thats why society supposedly "needs" more laws to give women perks while strapping men down.

Feminism in 2007 is not about "equality."

When people take issue with it... there are some pretty damn good reasons.

Feminism has caused moral decay in America. Feminism has caused children, men, and most women to suffer. Fact.

Feminism gains more rights for women by giving men more responsibilities.

Yah well fighting against mens rights is somehow okay for some women, because they are in the way of womens rights. Look at VAWA for example. Innocent untill proven guilty thrown over board in the name of security.

So have you actually asked a question- No.
I am now tired with inarticulate postings on here.
Please be specific in that which you are posting.
This dot com is called Yahoo Answers.
The basic premise is that folk ask or pose questions and folk answer them.
What it is not, is a forum for rhetorical rantings.

No one is saying that discussions on men and masculinities shouldn’t go on. It is absolutely important to have dialogue on men’s issues, including discussions on violence done towards men. The thing is, a feminist space — unless the topic is specifically men’s issues — is not the place to have that discussion and neither are spaces (feminist or otherwise) in which the topic is specifically focused on women’s issues.

What it boils down to is this: Men, not women, need to be the ones creating the spaces to discuss men’s issues. There are a lot of feminist allies who do this, in fact, and there also a lot of non-feminist (or anti-feminist, if you really want to go there) spaces that are welcoming to this kind of discussion. Thus, the appropriate response to a thread about women is not to post a comment on it about men, but rather to find (or make) a discussion about men.

I have to say that I agree with you. You can't have equality if you have to step over someone else for it.

Why should anyone care about feminism when they're full of hypocrisy?

Neither side of your equation is true.

Get used to the idea that feminism is a successful ideology and always will be, and it will change to meet the needs of society.

I see hatred on this forum- but not from feminists. There is so much bitterness and misogyny from men I wonder about their health.
