A gentleman is just that. A GENTLE MAN. You can be persieved as a gentleman in many ways. You can open the door for someone, help someone with car trouble, listen intently to someone's problems, touch a woman softly, speak correctly and properly, or act humbly. The first one is the most common, but I personaly the others get noticed and remembered the most. Hope this helps.

You respect a woman, you give her space on a date, don't come on too strong, pull out her chair, open her door, do little things for her that you know she will appreciate..

In example, my bf is a complete gentleman, he does the things above but the little things that he does are, he walks next to me if he's against oncoming traffic in a parking lot or something, when we arrive to my place (i live in an apt complex) he finds the nearest parking spot for me, and he parks further, he always keeps his word, and he has the best manners.

Being a gentleman is not about buying gifts and flowers and candy etc. it's about treating the girl with respect, don't come on too strong even if YOU REALLY like her :)

Good Luck!

A gentleman is someone who accepts and follows the sophistication of chivalry and respect for each man. A gentleman respects life and peace. He is a man who is gentle and does not wish to make war. This was of old traditions but should be applied today.

"A gentleman is a noble man,his nobility has nothing to do with his lineage or incidence of birth.
It is a human word that defines his soul, that in his frail body resides a manifestation of everything kind and good, of the acute awareness of somebody elses feeling and needs, and he is a vessel and a conduit where unexplicable wisdom and grace flow from."
(This is an original definition of gentleman by QNS)

In modern speech, the term is usually democratised so as to include any man of good, courteous conduct, or even to all men (as in indications of gender-separated facilities)

One with good, acceptable behavior...... it is not necessary that he be a good person intrinsically, so long as his external behavior is impeccable...... that is what I understand about who a gentleman is.

curteous, respectful, holds doors, lets her go through first, pulls out chairs, polite. The guy you want your 19 year old daughter to come home with.
