by tolerable I mean, more likely to let "things" slide. by things i mean situations where emotions can run wild like intimidation, challenge, or compromise. and by slide i mean brush them off and retain focus of the bigger picture.

This is innocent curiosity. Not trying to get anyone "aroused"

Actually I meant exactly what I asked. Of your knowledge or experience who is more tolerable?

Even statistical data about psychological states would help... I always enjoy facts over opinions anyway. Again... not trying to be a jerk with this question just curious.

Tolerable as in, more likely to be accepted in their ways of thinking and handling situations.

Just as most have already stated color has nothing to do with tolerance. In America the common stereotypical black woman would be less tolerant then the stereotypical white woman. but that has mostly to do with culture of women in the US. From what I have observed cultural stereotypes are generated from observation of the majority of a group, are they always true.. no, are they sometimes accurate.. of course they are or they would not exist. I would not even say that women are more prone to letting things go, lots of men are the same way, there are lots of stereotypes of men losing it over little things as well as women. But I digress, the bottom line answer would have to be no. although with more study I bet there could be a connection made with financial security verses poverty and the ability to cope with every day annoyances.

I agree with the posters who state that colour has nothing to do with tolerance. But I do believe that culture has a great deal to do with how much a woman will put up with and how she will react to certain situations. And culture and colour are intrinsically tied together. For example, you will find many black women in the island nations who will be far more 'in your face' and standing up for themselves and what they think is right. But thats a cultural thing....so you will find the white women who are native to these islands to be the very same...

"Tolerable" or "Tolerant"? I think you mean tolerant. Tolerable would be more like you can put up with them. Tolerant would be they have a "Live and Let Live" attitude rather than "It's My Way or the Highway".

Either way, it would depend on the woman. We're all different, whatever color we are, and to suggest anything else is stereotyping.

Your question is a bit one-sided. It really just depends on what kind of life and role models a woman grew up with. Black women have a comraderie that makes them stronger and better at intimidation; unlike white women who tend to associate with whomever is convenient or in their clique. Black women seem to enjoy drama, but so do white women. Hispanics too. I would rather have a black woman have my back than a white woman, because white & hispanic women are unpredictable and f-ing crazy. (I'm white & mexican btw).

Loooool ure kidding right ? It depends on the woman, just like with the men. Last i heard some feel sorta threatend in America by blacks them beeing gangsta and all. In Germany on the other hand the only worry regarding blacks people have is that one of them lands in the news as the victim of skindheads or random violence (hooligans punks), embarassing the nation.

this varies from woman to woman

i don't want to say what other women do or do not go through, but lots of black women go through a lot of stress

black women do compromise

we are stereotyped to be mean and negative and only these types of women are presented in the media

I do not think that color has anything to do with tolerance. Temperament and tolerance vary from person to person..sometime it might be heriditary, but not to all.. Angry parents may give birth to calm child and vice versa..It is all God's will..

I think you mean who can maintain control over their emotions best. Black or white women. Right?
