I would have the abortion. Simple really. Anyone with children already would automatically want to see the children they have grow up and in turn have children of their own. It's human nature.

Well, I'm a man, but if a woman became pregnant and her life were in danger, I wouldn't consider it murder on her part to have an abortion. One reason why is because her life is in danger, she's been here longer, and she has a right to life. Another reason, and this is very important, is that most women in this position want children, they wanted to become pregnant and so they are not having an abortion for the convenience of not having to take care of a child, but rather to preserve their own life.
The pro-life movement seeks to preserve life, and in this example a life is preserved as the result of an abortion.

Gosh ...good job you posted this on the politics section not the pregnancy and parenting one .... you are not allowed an opinion on that section unless you are cooing etc... they seem to have forgotten about the word CHOICE ........
I have never cast any stones at anyone who has aborted and I have two friends who have done this ( they were older women by the way not teenagers) .... to all those holier than thou people who say they never would I say when you are close to someone who has made this decision and see first hand the pressure and strain that it causes your high morals are certainly called into question ...
I believe in choice for all ...I would chose to abort...

If you ask any women, they would die for their child.Who knows what you would do in that situation, but I had a friend who found out at 20 weeks pregnant that she had cervical cancer. She was offered an abortion because certain hormones speed up cancer when your pregnant. She refused treatment until her baby was viable and delivered.Sad to say she died when her child was less than a year old.The father and family are raising her child and doing a wonderful job.Had she of had treatment earlier she would have made a full recovery but the cancer spread to her ovary's.Her husband and family think she made the ultimate sacrifice.

It is not that they want abortion stopped as such because it is acceptable if it is a serious medical reason to get an abortion. It is that at the laws requirement which is 24 weeks I believe, the fetus can feel pain and the babies have survived at 24 weeks before. I am not old enough to understand what it is like to loose a baby but people having an abortion simply to not have a baby should think of the unlucky people who cant physically have a baby.
Hope this helped.

i'm not pro or anti abortion but i do feel the mother has choices here! it has always been said that a 7month unborn baby is just as healthy as carrying the baby full term - if the mother had the right guidance and support she could have a ceasarian section at 7 months to save both lives!

I have kids now so obviously I wouldnt want to die, I would have to weigh the factors, how far along I was, how many weeks of me being pregnant would it take for me to die. pretty much I would try like hell to have the baby and be okay. but if it were 100 percent chance that I wouldnt make it past 20 weeks and I was like 3 weeks pregs I would.
However I am not fully against abortion, but I have seen after affects of some of my friends, and I think a lot of girls use it as a method of birth control. I think if you are responsible enough to have sex you should be responsible enough to have a baby. if you have sex and get aids you cant get rid of it so why should a baby be any different? if you cant have sex responsibly then you need to face up to fate.

I would ask about the prospects of having a Caesarian at, say, seven months. Many women have to have a Caesarian before there is any chance of their going into labour because they would be at risk if they went to full term. While this remains a theoretical question, I do not propose to say any more than this.

Everyone has a different way of looking at things and some people would carry on with the pregnancy to save the child but others would not. Each one to their own and good luck with your life.

That is a difficult decision. This is one of the rare cases where I think abortion is morally acceptable. Honestly, I don't know what I would do....I'd really have to be put in the situation.
