I was thinking of opening it up so that people can send me emails. Is this a good or bad idea? I see a lot of brutal mean people out there and I just wonder if that filters into email receieved.

Yes and I have only received emails thanking me for giving them best answers or from 1 girl I now consider a friend. If it got too bad or too many, again you could always change it back. But my experiences have only been good.

Madame Blueberry accepts emails at YA. And so far, it is not a bad thing, because the senders cannot view your real address (it goes through YA) and when you respond same thing.
I like that, otherwise I'd never allow the general public my addy.
For the purpose of your question, I have received several emails, some of them just plain disagreeing or challenging my answers (or questions) but oddly enough I don't feel the meanness or hate that you see in the forum.
I think by and large, it's a safe idea.

I accept mail and luckily I have only received mail from nice people that may want to ask details about something I posted. Most people that e-mail me are my contacts.
I say just try it, it doesn't hurt. If you don't like it you can always take off the feature.

Yeah, I do. The mean people often just write stupid sarcastic answers. They don't bother sending emails. If you open it up, I'll stop in and say hello!!!!

I accept mail.. I think its good cause if someone has something to say to you that they dont want others to know about you can check it out.. I use mine all the time..

Yes I do. It never has been a problem for me. I just do not like having my 360 open up here.

I have mine open,The other person doesn't get your real email address so it's ok, and your told who sent you a message.
