I did once for refusing to write a letter to the local MP for supporting a dog registration scheme as I was against it. It was a matter of principle. They never noticed that I kept bunking off French on Fridays...

A 2 hour detention is complete stupidity. I mean I have had detentions before and it has never ever once made me repent what I did or made me change my ways since then. If I got a detention for missing homework, it will not make me do homework from then on forever. I think detentions are just stupid and pointless, a utter waste of yours and not forgetting, the teachers time!

Actually I found a bic lighter on the school bus and it wouldn't light so I kept flicking it and "accidently" caught the girl in front of me's hair on fire. She had so much hairspray that it all just went up in flames and I'm beating her on the head trying to get it out. It just burned the hairspray off and we were still friends but I had to go to detention and got suspended off the school bus for a week.

Well i got given my detention form, but i was witty and made a deal with my science teacher, if i presented him with my homework at the end of the school day he'd tear it up. But I lost plenty of breaktimes for chatting/being lazy.

I spoke one word going in the classroom. And another time, we all piled round my friends to skive one morning. Had toast etc. My mate decided to ring the school to tell them that **** ***** wasn't coming to school. The secretary asked who it was, and she said, it's her mother( her mum worked there, how could we get away with that one?). It was so funny at the time. Oh how naughty though. We got found out as you can gather by the phone call. Hahahah it was so funny.

once in 6th grade my teacher gave me this note to give to my parents saying that i failed one of her tests & said i had to get it signed the nest day. i forgot & the next day she said she was going to give me detention the next day. luckily i went to a yankees game the day before with my dad & cousin & i didnt go to school the day on my detention day because i was tired. needless to say she was pissed & doubled my detention. i always hated that teacher anyways. she was such a bad word.
