yes...Peace, free love, and long flowing hair...it was a culture that many of us were a part of in the 60s... the government hated Hippies...berated them, shot them, beat them...so, Abbie Hoffman created Yippies... cultures evolve, I guess

☺☼♂ ...well ....one summer day i had left my job and I saw these purple mushroom's growing out back behind this chemical plant.....wel I was hungry and low on cash because since I can't dance worth a durn, my girl Pearl is mad at me see, so I put a big down payment on this nice 24K choker chain with the peace symbol. ....So... where was I ... right ... okay So I pulled up three of the mushrooms and popped the first one into my mouth and WHAM!!!!! .... It was like Peter Max came inside my eyeballs & painted everything all Psycho ....'n stuff ..... the groove was all over man. So I ate the secound one and POW!!! everything became clearer to me so I climbed aboard the third mushroom and drove over to the jewelry shop and took back my layaway $$$ and bought me a VW bus and I been living in it every since down by the river.♦♫♣◊♠

"Real" as opposed to what? We were all "keeping it real, man". Part of me still is, I guess. Google the "Rainbow Family" and check out the next gathering. They are called "hippies" (still) and are frequently watched by the police (and forest rangers!) ;-))
