I lived in Kansas for 20 years
I have had deer steaks, deer jerkey, love deer sausage and have had a freezer full of deer burgers
Ohh in Kansas Buffalo and Ostrich is cheaper than beef

I did one time because my uncle was a hunter but when I found out what we were eating it made me sick. He never tricked me that way again. He loved to kill things from fish to deer and then make a big meal out of it as though it was a treat.

Yes and I really like it.
If killed and dressed properly it won't taste "gamey".
It's lean and good for you and hunting helps balance the populations and kep the herd healthy.
