"Photo" is light. E.g. photograph, photosynthesis.
"Therm" is heat, used like temperature. E.g. thermostat, thermometer, geothermal. I don't think there's a separate root for temperature - seems like it's the absence/presence of heat.

therma(o) for temperature and I am not sure but perhaps lumina for light (or something to that effect)
