Emotions allows us to lead its way but we are just being true to ourself. It could be said it is indeed an emotional fool but don't you think you could fool your emotions. We cannot hide the true feeling when we are emotionally full. Whatever that feeling would be - we cannot regret the emotions we have released. It is the truest sense of our emotions.
Nice question. Thanks for asking.

No - falling in love is allowing an emotional event. Smartest move we can ever make! Plenty of pains available too tho, for those who are emotionally available. Still, it's emotion or blank screen - not much of a choice.

Good heavens no.
Emotions are the core of human behavior. The most brilliant scientist does science because he ENJOYS it.
Our intellect only evaluates what we desire. Our intellect does not run the show, it is here to get us what we emotionally desire, or in some cases to redirect our desires away from the 'not worth it' or dangerous pleasures. Our intellect is here to separate rational from irrational fears, but absolutely not to end fear.
Intellect is here to tell you who it would be a mistake to love, but never that Love itself is a mistake.
An emotional fool is one who does not restrain or redirect their FOOLISH emotions. Emotions evolved to keep us alive, they are for the most part profoundly practical.

Not at all. You have a brain; let it set the limits of your emotional outlet.

So we should go emotionless and go thru life like a robot (cold, hard and unfeeling)?
One has to find a balance, a happy medium.
