This happened to someone in my school. Someone put a kid's name in for the morning announcements, saying that the kid was dead. But he wasn't dead- he was alive and well and late for school. How would you feel if this happened to you?

i would feel shocked because i am very much alive. What would i do?? I would prove to the other people that I wasn't dead. If you don't do anything and the rumor spreads out then it might reach your family members or other friends and it would worry them and if you don't tell them fast then they will get very very worried and probably do something serious like plan a funeral. When you have finally stopped joking around and you show up and admit that you weren't dead all this time, your friends and especially your family members would be really frustrated and angry because of worrying too much.

Simular thing happened here.
During Viet Nam a soilder lost his life in combat.I was in the military at the same time but was not in NAM.
Well at my high school reunion on the list of class members that had died my name was there as killed in combat.
well as the fact I was standing there it was good for a chuckle as I was/am alive. We had a moment of silence for all of the classmates then removed the name of the other person.
So it has happened.

That happened to Alfred Noble. His brother died, but the newpaper got things mixed up, and thought that he had died, so they published a eulogy in the paper for Alfred Noble. One morning, Alfred woke up, and saw the headlines and read that he had "died"...he was horrified at some of things that were said about him, but also realized that they were true. He then decided that he was going to change his legacy. So when he DID die, he let over an enormous amount of money that has hence forth gone to the Noble peace prize winners.
Well, thats my story for the day. I suppose that If that happaned it could cause you to rethink what you mean to people and what they mean to you...
peace out xoxo

i would immediately confirm that i am alive. Death is a serious thing if someone is playing around with such rumours he/she should be seriously dealt with.

There is absolutely no fun as it might panic your near and dear ones.

I'd feel glad it wasn't true! Also, it'd be interesting to see how people had reacted to the announcement of my death. I'd know who really cared about me.
